How to Order and Use electronic PlanGiv copy for Advertisements, Newsletter Articles, Booklets, Brochures, and Inserts:

For each item ordered you'll receive a MS Word text file, sent electronically as an attachment with our email confirmation. Simply save it to an appropriate location on your computer where it is ready for editing and additional formatting at your desktop. If you prefer, your purchase can be delivered by regular mail (consisting of a formatted printout and an MS Word text file on compact disk [CD]), but this will slow delivery time.
Go ahead...personalize, adapt and get creative with the PlanGiv copy to meet your needs. Use your computer's "find and replace" command to insert your organization's formal and informal names. Add your own words about your organization and its mission. No attribution to PlanGiv is required or expected when the item is published by you.
Please do not make changes in the technical text (gift descriptions, examples, tax benefits, etc.) without prior consultation with PlanGiv. Call our Kingston office at 1-800-463-4854 (toll-free) to speak with Ralph Smith or Ian Fraser on any item requiring clarification.
Any item purchased from PlanGiv may be used whenever you like, for as long as you like, in the publications of your organization. PlanGiv Booklets
The following booklet titles are offered to organizations for distribution to prospective donors in either pre-printed (imprinting of booklets is also available) or electronic form. Once you purchase a text, you may print and reprint unlimited numbers of booklets, as long as they are used solely by your organization. If PlanGiv substantially updates the text of the booklets within six months of your purchasing them then you may: a) return any unused, pre-printed booklets for credit against your next booklet order (less imprinting charges if applicable) or have them replaced with the new edition at no charge; OR, b) in the case of electronic text, receive an updated version of the text at no charge.

Brochures
Brochures are a key resource in educating your donors to the possibilities and benefits of planned giving. Use them to respond to inquiries, include in mailings, distribute at events. Each gift-specific brochure describes and illustrates a particular giving technique, and may be formatted to fit on two sides of an 8.5 x 11" sheet, either full-page or in a 3-panel folded layout. You may choose either the clear, straightforward text version or the more informal, reader-friendly question-and-answer version.

Bonus note: Copy for gift-specific brochures may also be adapted for newsletter articles at no additional charge! Lengths range from 670 to 900 words. (Once you buy copy from PlanGiv you may use it in any way you wish.)

General Brochure
This longer brochure has been our best seller for many years now! Designed to fit on both sides of an 8.5 x 14" sheet in four-panel format, it combines brief descriptions of all the basic gift types with a "for further information" response panel and three panels reserved for information and graphics about your organization. If you produce only one piece of planned giving literature, this should be the one!

Inserts
Tucked in with gift receipts and other mailings, an insert is a simple, low-cost way to make annual fund donors aware of planned giving possibilities. It's a 5 x 7" sheet folded horizontally to drape over the other contents of the envelope.

The front "teaser" panel (provided to you camera-ready) is a graphic with a few tantalizing words. Inside (sent in MS Word format for your editing convenience) is a brief gift description and response coupon. Five versions (some in two versions) are currently available; we're also currently working on more.

We currently offer two methods of payment for your purchases: online by credit card; and pay on invoice. If you choose to pay by credit card, your order will be processed much faster than the traditional 'pay on invoice' method. All product prices are shown and should be paid in Canadian dollars.
